Insomnia

Dark and gloomy night
Clouds veiling the sky
Moon playing hide and seek
Stifling atmosphere
Staring into perpetuity
With sleepless eyes
Wished I could break free
Into freedom
From the worldly clutches
I wished I could sleep

Darkness terrifying me
My anguish profound
With petrified thoughts
I was awaiting the first light
Time fractioned
The night was engulfing me
My thoughts stirring me up
I closed my eyes with a hope to sleep
Sleep would not come to my eyes
I was scared of a nightmare
I wished I could sleep.

The rose bouquet

Pretty budding roses, round and scarlet,
Singing the song of love.
Little leaves unclose forming a halo,
Hiding in their velvet robe, recite the tale of affection.
Breathing from heart invisible,
Spreading their fragrance to romanticize the air.
Like a lace of pearls, dew drops shimmer

Mesmerizing my heart and soul.
A gift from my love,
The rose bouquet adorns my life.
Soon it will perish,
The petals will curl and sink below,
But the love will dwell forever
The reminiscence of the moment will last till eternity

Tale of Life

Blissful moments weaving an ode
Dark and colored memories piling up
Every moment bestowing the unbelievable
Every dawn adding feathers
And giving wings to fly
Torrent of Unlimited dreams resounding in the ears
Countless hopes peeping from within the eyes
Enticing desires juggling in the heart
Intoxicating greed triumphant over the mind
Infinite thoughts empowering the conscience
So much to live
So much to expect
I have one full life to lead

Hold On...

Hold on… to what is good
even if it is a handful of earth

Hold on… to what you believe,
even if it's a tree that stands by
    itself

Hold on… to what you must do
even if it's a long way
    from here

    Hold on… to your life
even if it's easier to let go

The raging falls- Niagra

Like an explosion of emotions, she spurt

Thundering and roaring, falling deep down

Fierce and wild but austerely beautiful

Screaming her grievances

Mists rising up to the sky

She was talking to the heavens

Covering herself with a white veil

A moment earlier, she was quiet

Flowing subtly like a stream

Around an islet of green and tweeting birds

Enthroned in sublimity and awe

She hit small rocks and formed rapids

Suddenly sped up in rage

I failed to comprehend her mind

As the mists rose, rainbows appeared

The sun was golden, clouds scattered

Her voice was heard, she was blessed

She descended, with resplendence mesmerizing

Serene and quiet, her rage had died

She was like an angel flowing by

Left me wondering and asking why…
